These kids have hit 500 bags!! Visually, all together that would look like a massive, towering mound roughly the size of a large two-car garage – packed tight to the ceiling!
What does the future look like for our dumpster program? It looks like a green light for year 2. We have been pre-approved for The Jane Goodall Institutes APE Fund to cover tip feed for 2027!!

Please help where you can. Contact us to borrow cleanup supplies, and feel free to visit this beach to help anytime. Adding waste infrastructure didn’t fix the problem entirely. We aren’t sure how to empower visitors to pack out their own waste. But we will keep working on it – for the health of our lake and our planet.
