Turtle Parade Prep for Earth Day

Our youth have been hard at work prepping for their many Earth Day events. Watch for more information coming soon on all our Earth Week activities!

Our big finale is April 25th at 10am to celebrate Earth Day with our turtles!! As a club, The Green Herons youth have collected 106 crushed newborn turtles from roads that run near turtle habitats. We want Niagara residents to drive with caution down marked roads in May and June. Come out to Ecofest to join the parade and see how to identify turtle hatchlings and learn how you can help Niagara’s at risk turtle species.

Bring your turtle costumes, posters, banners, and stuffed animals to walk with us for the 106 turtle hatchlings that we have found crushed on Niagara roads.
