The Green Herons relies on partnerships and support to run our programs and increase our impact. We are grateful for the community members, businesses, and grants that keep our youth projects funded.
Our moonshot idea for this spring is a greenhouse to increase our growing power, and advertising space on our vehicle so we can continue to increase the impacts of our youth led projects. (Update to package: Greenhouse/Pollinator Pathways partially funded – Jane Goodall’s APE Fund/The Future Ground Network/naturekast, Habitat boxes fully funded – The Woodshed/NPCA, Jordan Harbour Cleanup partially funded – Niagara Rowing School)

In-Kind Donations.
Our sponsorship package also includes donation items that our youth can use towards their projects if you would rather donate products. We are always looking for gardening, clean up and turtle supplies such as pots, soil, mulch, garbage bags, paint and tools. You can also donate habitat boxes, turtle nest cages, trees we will purchase and plant, or entire gardens for older adults or residents requiring assistance with planting.

Our Store.
Our youth started making Paracord bracelets in 2022 to raise money for their projects. On top of being super useful in a survival situation to make shelter, tools or even a spare shoelace, these bracelets now come with a turtle or bee charm to remind you that your minimum $10 donation is helping us support these species at risk across the Niagara Region. It’s a stocking stuffer that gives right back to our backyard in the form of trees, habitat and gardens.
Let’s put native plants on EVERY property. If the Green Herons ran the world, it would be a bylaw.
