On a grant from the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada, we successfully grew 46 Pawpaw trees to donate to indigenous projects across Niagara.

One of those projects included the rehabilitation of Jordan Hollow for the Town of Lincoln’s Sho’arishon Park. Jordan Harbour is the closest wetland and forest habitat to The Green Herons classroom and our youth have started many restoration projects within the Jordan watershed. The second project is the connection to indigenous culture it will provide to the students of Jacob Beam Elementary School. Their Kinder Crew Pawpaw Grove was installed this week.

The rest of our trees will be donated to Metis Council President Derrick Pont to distribute next spring once successfully overwintered.
