The Green Herons

After cleaning hundreds of bags of trash out of Jordan Harbour, we have funded a project to try and get a permanent solution to this massive pollution problem.

This project is another example of how listening to the ideas of our youth can create powerful change. After asking multiple stakeholders for help and getting tired of hearing ‘we don’t own that land’, they have decided that ‘we all own this land’.

Congrats to all our youth as their dumpster and garbage bins arrived this week and have already made a difference for our shorelines! Please go and visit this beautiful space, grab a bag from one of our 3 bag dispensers, and help keep plastics out of Lake Ontario.
