We have been trying to help Heartland Forest with their phragmites problem. Thanks to the Invasive Species Action Fund we have support for these local battles of the species.

Its the ultimate ‘Who Will Win?’

Phragmites spreads underground and will ultimately need chemical intervention. Snipping the seed heads can stop them from blowing into new wetland areas and choking out all native species. These are devastating to wetlands and should be controlled early on.
