I have been trying to figure out the easiest way to send out information to all our Butterflyway gardeners. first, if you have made it to the website, thank you for your interest in planting some pollinator plants this year. there is no minimum requirements for these gardens. we encourage you to get involved, dream big, and start small!
we have lots of interest from all across Niagara which has been so great to see. the kids are pumped and learning lots about the bugs and plants we are trying to protect. they currently have seeds cold stratifying and germinating and are happily filling up all the toilet paper rolls we have collected with dirt for their little seeds with ‘tails’. we will get some photos up of their progress soon.
I have attached a copy of the flyers that went out this weekend – if you didn’t get one, check it out online and help us save paper! if you did get one, feel free to pass it along to another gardener that you think would like to get involved. I have also attached a photo as a reminder to leave your garden, brush, etc, untouched until early May so the tiny creatures sleeping inside can wake up undisturbed. the flyers have lots of information on our group and how to get involved. there is no need to email if you have already found your way here.
